R.I.D.E Inc (Riders, Initiative, Development, Entity) is the governing body for freestyle BMX in New Zealand.

Our mission is simple: to grow and support the freestyle BMX community by creating opportunities for riders of all ages to develop their skills, compete, and progress. We’re focused on building pathways for youth, fostering grassroots participation, and hosting events that will form the backbone of a national ranking system.

By developing a clear structure for competition and progression, we aim to align New Zealand freestyle BMX with international standards, partner with the UCI, and ultimately ensure that Kiwi riders have the chance to represent our country on the world stage — including the Olympic Games.

Freestyle BMX is more than just a sport; it’s a culture of creativity, resilience, and progression. R.I.D.E exists to channel that energy into opportunities that help riders dream big, push boundaries, and carve a future for BMX in New Zealand.
